Crocker Realty Trust I (CRT I), a fully integrated, self-managed REIT, was formed in 1995 through a merger of Crocker Realty Investors, the nation’s first publicly traded blind pool REIT, the Crocker & Sons management company, and a portfolio of assets controlled by an institutional investor.

CRT I, initially owned 50 properties totaling 4.4 million sq. ft. in 14 markets in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Virginia and Alabama. With an additional $80 million raised in private placements, CRT I acquired an additional 1.25 million sq. ft. of properties.

The Partners sold CRT I to a southeastern REIT for approximately $550 million in September, 1996.
